Building The Sovereign Creative Renaissance
Thank you for being part of this growing movement. In just a short time since our first newsletter, we’ve seen incredible momentum with new artist stories and continued episodes of Share Your Bitcoin Journey. Each story and conversation is helping us paint a clearer picture of what a sovereign creative renaissance on Bitcoin looks like.
New Artist Stories: Real Examples of Building on a Bitcoin Standard
This week we are proud to highlight three powerful new voices:
Matt Finlay – A dissident musician from Melbourne who refused to stay silent during the world’s longest lockdowns. While many artists remained quiet or supported government overreach, Matt used his music to call out tyranny. Now embracing Nostr and the Value-for-Value model, he is creating without permission and showing other musicians how to escape centralized platforms.
Beth Alta Fletcher – An Alaskan digital artist and former world-class snowboarder who brings her Rolfing and yoga background into her work. Beth explores “wholeness paradigms” through Bitcoin-themed digital art, using symbols and stream-of-consciousness creation to express sovereignty and resistance to traditional systems.
Man Like Kweks – A Tanzanian musician, community educator, and Christian who blends Afrobeat rhythms with Lightning zaps and value-for-value economics. Kweks uses Bitcoin not just for personal sovereignty but to fund real-world education and community programs in Tanzania, proving how sound money can directly support cultural and social impact.
These artists matter because their stories show us what is possible when creators adopt a Bitcoin standard: low time preference thinking, direct audience relationships, censorship resistance, and the freedom to create meaningful work that will last. Their journeys are the roadmap for the next renaissance in art — one where artists are no longer forced into short-term survival mode but can build legacies that endure.

Building the Sovereign Creative Renaissance
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the BFTA Sovereign Circle — our new monthly membership community where patrons and artists come together to build a true circular economy on Bitcoin.
We are especially proud that one of this week’s featured artists, Beth Alta Fletcher, has become the very first member of the Sovereign Circle!
This is a powerful milestone. Bitcoin For The Arts doesn’t just support artists — now artists are actively supporting us. Beth’s decision to join shows exactly what we’ve been building: a self-sustaining loop where creators empower the organization that empowers creators. This is the circular economy we need — one where support flows both ways — to sustain and ignite the next renaissance in art on a Bitcoin standard.
Whether you join at the Friend of Satoshi level or step up as a Renaissance Guardian, your recurring support helps fund more micro-grants, expand workshops and residencies, and grow our long-term HODL reserve. You’ll also gain access to the members-only Commons, quarterly art drops, voting rights on grants, and milestone perks that deepen with time.

We Want More Artists to Share Their Journeys
We are actively looking for more artists to participate in Share Your Bitcoin Journey — both written features and podcast episodes. If you are an artist (or know one) who has a Bitcoin story to tell, please submit it. Your experience could inspire countless others to make the leap to sound money and sovereign creation.

How You Can Get Involved Right Now
We are still a very young organization, and early volunteers will be critical to our growth and visibility. If you have time and passion to help, we would love to have you on the team.
We are especially looking for people who can:
Help coordinate events and Bitcoin Art Nights
Reach out to local arts organizations for education partnerships
Share our webinars and resources with their local arts communities
If you know any arts organizations, galleries, or creative collectives that might be open to hosting Bitcoin education sessions using our materials, please let us know!
Interested in volunteering? Just reply to this email and tell us a little about your skills and availability.
